As 2017 comes to a close and with great pleasure, I have made a big decision.
This training year the Centre became de-centralized and we decided to train in our respective hometowns…. This put me in a bit of a pickle because as most people know, I moved to Montreal from Calgary when I was just 18 years old and have made myself a nice little life here. Maybe if I would have left Calgary a year or two ago, it would have been easy to make the decision to go back. But five years and a lot of lessons later, I am happy here…
Though I have spend five years of my adult life living on my own, paying bills, making meals etc. nothing can prepare you for being in a situation such as this….
Injury, sickness and a series of unfortunate events (cue Jim Carry in that creepy movie!) have made it impossible for me to stay at my usual training facility, the Olympic Stadium. The costs of training and a number of other uncertainties have pushed me to make the decision to move my program to Dollard Synchro.

I have been coaching for Dollard since September and I feel like this would be a great fit. They have been very accommodating to my situation as well as my teammate’s situations and they are willing to help us in any way they can!
I am excited to see what this change will bring to my swimming abilities as well as how it can help me move forward after a tough year.
Here’s to a great new year and DAY 1!!!
You will succeed at whatever you decide to do! Best of luck,
